Crew Union

First, want to thank everyone who came out to our innagural holiday party last month at Fourth Street. We had a great crowd, gave out some great prizes via raffle and even had a special guest. Highly recomment checking out Sam Fahmi's gallery for Massive Report on facebook.

Some other big things have been going on and off the field for the Crew. On the filed there have been a few big signings and a possible "well known" DP on the horizon.

Off the field the level of organization and collaboration in the Nordecke this off season has been truly exciting. Know a lot of it is behind the scenes right now, but you can get involved by coming to the socials we're organizing (more details below). As the season gets closer you're going to be hearing more and more about all the great things we're working on for the season.

The schedule also came out, so expect to start hearing details on planned tailgates and NorOnTour bus trips (as well as less offical trips). Our season ticket sales are already ahead of what we did last year, which we're really exicted about. Reminder that you can still get season tickets for only $306, including your 2012 membership! 

We think this is going to be a banner year for both Crew Union and Nordecke much like 2008 was.

January Nordecke Social

The second in a series of monthly fundraisers for the Nordecke Tifo Fund will be next Friday January 20th at the new Three Legged Mare in the Arena District. Each time a select beer or shot is sold during this event a portion of the proceeds will be donated to pay for the giant crowd displays created by the Columbus Crew supporters groups.

There is no cover for this event and the party starts at 4pm and goes until the place closes. This event is open to the public, you do not need to be a supporters group member to attend so invite your friends!

• Jameson Shot/Drink
• 3 Olives Specialty Martini

$1 will go to the TIFO fund. (Allowing for more and better banners to be made in 2012 and beyond!!)

2012 Polar Plunge

From member David Moore:
Hey everyone, Ryan and I are getting people together to form a team of Nordecke/Crew Supporters for the 2012 Polar Plunge on February 18th at the Columbus Zoo. If you want to join in, follow the link, register, and join the team "Nordecke Plungers." Pass this on to anyone else you think may be interested. Ryan and I did it last year, and it was a lot of fun, though very cold.

I'm also thinking afterwards we could all get together at 4th St or someone's abode and drink until we're warm again.

2012 Schedule Released

The Crew will host thier first home game on March 24th meaniong we'll be having a Crewsmas Eve party March 23rd. Put both those dates on your calendar now. The complete schedule can be found on the website.

2012 Season Tickets

We worked with the Crew and are able to maintain the $306 cost of season tickets through Crew Union, the same as this year's season tickets in the Nordecke. Unlike last year however we're now including your 2012 Crew Union membership into the cost, a $20 value. We're accepting deposits on our website and any Crew Union event.

English Premier League at Fourth Street

The Barclay's Premier League has kicked off it's season and we're happy to announce that our home bar Fourth Street Bar & Grill will be open for all available Premier League games this season. On Saturdays and Sundays they will be opening early, so whenever there is a 7 or 7:45am game you can count on Fourth Street being open. They will also have the kitchen open with breakfast food available.

Part of our long term plan with Fourth Street was to grow it as a soccer bar so we're really excited about this and the bar is too.

Nordecke Pelotina Group

Donny Murray is organizing a Nordecke Peloton for Pelotonia. If you are interested in joining the Peloton please fill out the linked form, if you just want more information or would like to donate to the Peloton please visit the Facebook Group page at Team Nordecke: Columbus Crew Supporters Peloton. If you are not familiar with Pelotonia it is an annual bike ride fundraiser to support cancer research, their website is http://pelotonia.org/
