A big win at home last week against New England kept the Crew a top the eastern conference. However, following the match there was a tragic motorcycle accident in the stadium parking lot that made the whole game seem a moot point. Joel Reynaga was a core member of La Turbina and his death is a huge loss to the Nordecke family. Crew Union's thoughts have been with the Reynaga family all week; was great to see so many turn out for the memorial service on Tuesday afternoon.

We wanted to let everone know that this week instead of our normal Crew Soccer Foundation Collection we will be collecting Donations for the Joel Reynaga Memorial fund at the tailgate to help the family of Joel in this time of tragedy and sorrow. Thanks for your understanding on this, and please help out if you can.

The Crew announced their season ticket packages for the 2012 season, but hasn't given us our prices. We will be getting all that info next week, so look for much more on how to renew or purchase season tickets for the 2012 season next week. In the mean time we are accepting deposits.

Crew vs Philly

Match kicks off at 7:30, so tailgate will be going strong around 5pm. We will be doing free cold cut subs with a variety of meats and cheeses. If people want to bring stuff to share (chips, salads, desserts) that would be great but is not a requirement to come over and enjoy the food and get pumped up for the game. Come on over, share some beverages and food with friends and get ready to beat Philly.

Reminder that if you need tickets, please shoot an email to Kevin (kmmc@crewunion.com) to reserve your tickets.This guarantees you tickets and helps us have an accurate count of how many tickets we'll need. It's easy to pick them up at the tailgate and we can take cash, check or credit. You can of course also just go buy them through our online store. Only $20 for members and $23 for non-members (compared to $27 through the Crew).

English Premier League at Fourth Street

The Barclay's Premier League has kicked off it's season and we're happy to announce that our home bar Fourth Street Bar & Grill will be open for all available Premier League games this season. On Saturdays and Sundays they will be opening early, so whenever there is a 7 or 7:45am game you can count on Fourth Street being open. They will also have the kitchen open with breakfast food available.

Part of our long term plan with Fourth Street was to grow it as a soccer bar so we're really excited about this and the bar is too.

Philly Bus Trip

On Saturday September 17th the Crew travel to Philly to take on the Union in what will likely be an important match in the eastern conference standings. We'll be taking bus over for an overnight trip. We think this trip will sell out quick so reserve your spot quickly!

The cost of the bus trip is only $110 and includes: match ticket,bus trip, food on the way up, beer on bus and hotel (based on quadruple occupancy).

Crew Union Pick Up

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the pick up games we've been holding there has been demand for holding weekend and weekday games. We'll be having two sessions each week, Sunday & Wednesday evenings at 7pm. Don't forget to join the Crew Union Pickup group to stay in the loop on weekly pickup games.
